Review Of "My Name Is Khan"

The film is about Rizwan Khan (Shah Rukh Khan) who suffers from Asperger's Syndrome, a birth disorder. Rizwan Khan has problems in his social interactions. After his mother's death, his US-based younger brother takes him to San Francisco where Rizwan starts working as a salesman for his younger brother company. On one of his calls, he encounters Mandira (Kajol) and his life changes. Mandira is a single mother, falls in love with Rizwan Khan in an improbable yet utterly romantic manner. They get married and, life seems till November,9 changes it all. Rizwan and Mandira are torn apart after they face a monumental tragedy as victims of racism. To win Mandira back, Rizwan is faced with the most daunting task of all. And thus begins his journey -- across states, cultures, people, racial profiling and hatred. In his quest to rediscover his lost love, how Rizwan emerges as the most unlikely hero forms the crux of the film.

The movie is best from a Karan Johar direction. The story is best, and is supported with good acting from Shahrukh Khan and Kajol Mukherjee. The film has been shot mainly in the US at good scenic locations. The subject of the movie is religion and has to be handled with care, which has been done by Karan Johar. The first half moves fast with the love story between Shahrukh Khan and Kajol and then the 2nd half kind of gets slow and long with Shahrukh Khan  going from place to place to meet the President Of the USA to pass along a message. The movie is well acted by Shah Rukh as a person with Asperger's syndrome.

The scene YOU SHOULD WATCH AND EVALUATE IT!!!!

The story of Rizwan and it is to Shah Rukh Khan's credit that Rizwan grows on you with every scene

The well acted by Shah Rukh Khan as a person with Asperger's syndrome.

The Shah Rukh Khan magic is at play in almost all the crucial moments : when Mandira proposes to him, his touching camaraderie with the African-American family, the sequence in the Church where he speaks about his son.

The Rizwan-Mandira romance is captured beautifully.

Rizwan never shakes hands with anyone -- he has a problem with that. Yet, when he meets the American President, he shakes hands not once but twice. Special treatment for special people?????

‘My Name is Khan’ is definitely a movie of substance and is a must watch for both Shah Rukh’s fans and the ones wanting to see a logical nice movie!
